instinct. A transplant who fell for shrimp boats, Spanish moss, and small-town charm.
Originally from South Africa – with nearly a decade spent in Toronto Canada she made her way south for the warmth and charm of Bluffton, South Carolina. A town so full of charm, critters, and cheeky sayings, she couldn’t not turn it into a apparel line. It all started with the search for something worth sending home – something that wasn’t a trinket or a tea towel.
What began as a mom on a mission, tired of tourist tees, turned into creating her own giftable shirts that made people smile. Locals, tourists, and “honorary Southerners”
alike.
Marshpuppy is a Bluffton-born apparel brand that turns Lowcountry quirks, wildlife, and humor into hand-drawn t-shirt designs. Every piece begins as a sketch by Robyn, the artist, mom, and marsh enthusiast behind the brand.
All designs are illustrated by Robyn, a Bluffton local by heart and by choice. Her work blends coastal wildlife, Southern wit, and community charm. Much of her inspiration comes from small-town life, local expressions, and the occasional curious gator.
Our designs are created and printed in the United States. Each shirt is made from soft, durable cotton blends sourced from ethical suppliers and printed with eco-friendly inks.
We do not make generic prints. Every Marshpuppy product comes with its own backstory and a collectible story card inside our signature Marsh Tube. It is more than a shirt. It is a piece of Bluffton you can wear.
Right now, we specialize in t-shirts and hand-illustrated cards. Both feature Robyn’s original artwork and Southern charm. More Lowcountry-inspired apparel, gifts, and prints are coming soon.
Absolutely. Our packaging was created with gifting in mind. Each order is tissue-wrapped, tubed, and story-tagged. You can even add a note at checkout and we will include it with the order.

Around here, a Marshpuppy is what locals affectionately call a young alligator. Equal parts cute and bitey, it is the perfect mix of Southern charm and attitude, just like our shirts. When the idea for Marshpuppy was born, we wanted a name that felt a little wild, a little weird, and completely Lowcountry. It is playful, proud, and impossible not to smile at, just like that grin on our favorite little gator.
